Is Fruits Basket manga worth buying?

I%26#039;m a fan of the anime Fruits Basket. I also love manga, but I haven%26#039;t bought any of Fruba%26#039;s manga yet. Most of you probably wonder why even ask such a question if I%26#039;m truly a fan, but manga does get expensive after so many volumes and I believe Fruba has 23 volumes. I want to know if it%26#039;s worth it or not. I was going to buy the first volume today, but flipping through it, it seemed like most of the script was the same as the first episodes. Can anyone tell me if the manga is all that different from the anime and if Fruits Basket manga is worth buying?

ive read all the manga on a scanlation site since not all of fruits basket is out in the USA now so ya





but the story plot to Fruitbasket in the manga goes farther then the anime


ive heard the anime goes up till volume 6-8


and yupp of course there are 23 volume is japan and completed

Reply:The manga goes way beyond the storyline covered in the anime so I would say yes, its worth buying. It is 23 volumes though! I think the US has up to volume 17 out. Try renting it instead at http://www.mangatakeout.com Thats what I do. Report It

But yes, Fruits basket is really worth buying, it has some great twists and turns...and the anime is sh*t. Its only 26 episodes long and they didnt even introduce half the zodiac. Trust me, i%26#039;m on volume 23 and i%26#039;ve watched the whole series!

Reply:The anime series ends at about Vol. 6 of the manga. The rest of the volumes go into deeper detail. So, yeah, it is kinda worth it! =D

Reply:The manga is definitely better than the anime. It%26#039;s a lot darker than the anime, but it%26#039;s still super good. It is much different from the anime, and there are lots of twists that make it addicting. It takes a different turn after about 7 volumes or so.
