Fruits basket words?

I need help with some words that people keep saying. What does %26quot;Ano%26quot; and %26quot;Hai%26quot; mean? Thanks in advance!

Ano: あの - This is similar to %26quot;Ah ... er...%26quot;. It indicates hesitancy, and that you don%26#039;t want to bother anybody. Here are some sentences with %26quot;ano%26quot; in it:

Hai: はい - This is %26quot;yes%26quot;. This is the opposite of %26quot;いいえ%26quot; (iie) which is %26quot;no%26quot;. Here is a link on how to write it:

These words are not only used in Furuba (Fruits Basket), but it is the common Japanese language.
