In fruits basket(MANGA), when tohru and kyo are talking about kyoko ( her accident and death, and how kyo is saying he cant forgive himself) Tohru says that she is against her mother and tells him that she loves him. BUT kyo says that is an ILLUSION. The love is an illusion. What does that mean? What is an illusion for love? Please help!!!

I think he%26#039;s not saying that love is an illusion for Tohru but it%26#039;s for him. For him love is an illusion. You see, Kyo could not imagine how anyone could love him especially when he%26#039;s under that curse and he knows of Tohru%26#039;s feelings for him and him for her. But deep inside, he knows that the moment Tohru finds out that he%26#039;s the cause her mother%26#039;s death, he will be hated by her. And though Tohru said that she still loves him, he thinks she still doesn%26#039;t get the impact of the truth that he told her, so %26#039;that love between them%26#039; she is saying is actually an illusion-not reality, Something beyond his grasp nor her reach.
