I am watching the box set %26quot; the complete series%26quot; of fruits basket. But I also read the novels. I notice that the novels go much father then the DVD box set. Is there a continuation of where they left off in the box set on DVD.

The director of the series wanted to stop and move onto other projects, and it is very highly unlikely the anime series will be finished. It is very sad that the director couldn%26#039;t even let the series finish, but of course money is more important than the happiness of the fans.

But don%26#039;t worry, the manga is longer.
BTW, most anime series that have a manga for it, the manga usually has content that the anime series doesn%26#039;t (sometimes it%26#039;s also the other way around), and lasts longer.
Reply:The last episode is 26 currently but the possibility remains for another series. Fruits basket continually burns up the Booklist ratings in America. It would, however, be very dificult to gather up all the needed talent since many have moved on to new companies.
