the anime for fruits basket stopes at only 26 episodes, but the manga keeps going, will they make more episodes so that the anime maches the manga?

Reply:No, they mucked up the anime series so much that to bring in anew series would make no sense at all! You are best off just reading the manga! Thats what i do, i'm on volume 22!

Reply:probally, I watch Inuyasha and the show doesn't match the manga, so sometimes don't depend on what the story is on the manga and also, catch the date on when the episode was on television

"The anime series follows the manga up to approximately the end of volume 8 of the manga. Characters from volumes 7 and 8 are shown within the 26 episodes. Also, many situations within the anime series are left unresolved because of lack of source material at the time.





Following the series release in North America by FUNimation, a grassroots effort has been mounted by the fan base to have a second season of the series produced in Japan. Funimation has had a sizable hand in this effort, organizing origami crane folding events at various anime conventions. These cranes were then sent to Japan as a form of petition for the production of a second season. It really does suck, because Fruits Basket is one of my favorite animes and I wouldn't have minded one bit if there was more.
