How many books are there in the "Fruits Basket" series?

Hi, I have recently developed an interest for anime and after watching the series "Fruits Basket" I would love to read the books, or manga's as I have found out they are called. I am so confused with the whole manga thing... never really taking an interest before hand. How many Manga's are there for "Fruits Basket" and can some be found in English? and where could I purchase them?

there are 23 volumes and the U.S. has publised 18 of them. u can always buy them at barnes and noble.
Reply:well from what i know #19 is coming out in march 2008 but i think there is a book for each character in fruits basket.

There are currently 17 volumes, possibly and 18th on the way, at least, so i believe.


also, the anime only stops at about the 6th volume story line. the story continues sooooo much further that u will enjoy it.

Reply:The are 23 books and 2 fan books. Book 22 in English is available, book 23 is available in Feb 08. The first fan book is also out.
