Anyone knows the ending of Fruits Basket anime and where the manga's at right now? (Yep, spoilers please!)

Yep, I'm asking for spoilers here!





Everything that's Fruits Basket is licensed, I don't have a cent to myself, and I'm dying to know where everything is at right now.





I watched 10 episodes of Fruits Basket and read a volumn of the manga at a friend's house... that's how I know who my nickname's namesake is ^_~





So please spoil away and don't leave me hanging there! I can't wait the four years until I get to university and save up enough money to buy the set hehehe.

Reply:The anime ends with volume 8! When Kyo's true form is reveled! okay i'm not sure about the very end.... I read half of volume 18 though! I know Kyo and Tohru end up together! Yuki ends up with a girl named Machi who is not in the Anime! Kureno... the rooster's curse is broken. Reply:Well I didnt know much about the manga,but I know that Akito is a girl(in manga)!!!The anime ends in episode 26, where tohru saw kyo's monster form and accept it. Then she went to the sohma house and face to face with akito. Then akito ask why she came, her answer: I don't know.... Then Akito went mad and pull her hair and say" You think you can get the family's curse went off!?? You cant!!! " And then Tohru say that everyone will feel sad if akito died. To watch it, go to http://www.youtube.com and search Fruits Basket episode 36.
Reply:The anime ends with episode 26, I think? Tohru sees Kyo in his monster form, and she freaks out. But then she accepts him. It just ends- sadly enough.





The manga is still going on. It's up to about book 14 in the USA, but it's also still going on in Japan. If you can't afford to buy it, just go to a book store, like barnes and noble. I've sat there and read manga without buying anything. A lot of people do this. I can't figure out why the store allows it.





As for spoilers, read what the others wrote. The other things I have to add is that Rin is on a mission to break the curse, and that her back story is very sad.
Reply:The anime's last episode does not even exist in the manga, they somewhat inserted it in to end the series. Anyway, it shows that after Kyo reveals his 3rd form to Tohru and Yuki, Tohru pays a visit to Akito. She agitates him(or her actually as we later fiond out in the manga) but it yet still allowed to live together in Shigure's house. it's an abrupt and uncertain ending.





Whereas, the manga goes on much much further and reveals more of the curse. The most recent chapters shows the manga at the verge of ending as most couples, ie-Yuki and Machi, Kyo and Tohru, Kureno and Uo being together. There should only be about a couple more chapters for Takaya-sensei to tie up the loose ends.





Among the other things are, the appearances of Rin the horse, Kureno the bird, the broken curse which binds Kureno, Momiji and Hiro. The fact that Akito was a girl but raised as a boy due to her jealous mother, Ren. How Kyo was present at the accident scene of Kyoko but couldn't do anything to save her. Tohru falling off a cliff, Akito becoming a newer and much better person.
Reply:It hasn't ended yet. It's still going. Just so you know, the anime is waaayyyy different from the manga. in the manga, Haru is in love with Rin, anime version is that Haru is in love with yuki. i do have some spoilers through.





- Yuki falls in love with a crazy girl named Machi


- Kyo falls in love with Tohru


-Akito's actually a girl!!!


-Shigure is in love with Akito.
Reply:The anime suks it really suks, its really short and doesnt go as far as the manga, if u want to get to chapter 18 go to http://www.thespectrum.net and the eng manga only goes up to book 13, 14 is comin out soon, the later books mostly focuc around Yuki and his club, u really dont see Kyo or Tohru much...
